Position Description:
We are looking for a hands-on Resource Manager to join Digital Business Automation in Services Tech. Responsibilities will include manage strategic planning, budgeting, resource management, time management, and reporting. The group is responsible for optimizing and engineering business processes, and the document platform. The group works with diverse functional groups within the Wealth Management Technology. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated team player and will have significant experience in Financial and Resource Management, a strong technical background and good communication skills. He/she will interact directly with the users and with other Sr. Leaders across the firm.
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
• Interface with Project Managers on project costing, budgeting, resource management, and work effort tracking.
• Assist in weekly and monthly portfolio reporting to generate Dept and Business unit reports.
* Perform forecasting of IT resources, projects, and services, including hardware and software.
* Support hiring managers in the creation/review of critical hire justifications, job descriptions, forecasting to facilitate recruitment, onboarding of employee and consultant positions, manager changes, and resource off boarding.
• Timely completion of adhoc requests from senior leadership.
• Execute frequent reports to ensure departments (internal and external) are forecasted appropriately to work efforts and within budget to projects; partner with departments to resolve deviations from allocations.
• Produce quantitative monthly financial review/analysis reports for programs with supporting qualitative commentary on financial variance to targets.
• Administer project related IT financial management across the project portfolio including monitoring actuals vs budget and determining project related corrective action where necessary.
• Compilation, administration, and delivery of team based and organization-based rosters, trends, and resource ratios.
• Work with Chief of Staff, People strategy lead for resource strategy as well as communication to internal teams.
Skills Required:
* Previous experience in the financial services field, with emphasis on banking/ technology.
* 8+ Years in Financial Forecasting, budgeting and resource management (and or PMO experience).
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
* Experience with financial and resource management tools (i.e.; Serena IG, TM1, PeopleTracker, etc.).
* Excellent people management skills; including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results.
* Capable of effectively meeting time-sensitive deliverables with accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
* Great written/verbal/ interpersonal/communication skills.
